Welcome to your yoga nidra practice with Kristyn Rose, to embrace and celebrate the Aumtumnal or Fall Equinox. You might imagine this practice like a ritual, to honour this change of the seasons as we slow down and cocoon ourselves into the deep and darker depths of longer, cooler days, and really welcome the harmonious changes without ourselves. Now it is time to turn inward, reflect on the past year and consider what we need to prune in our mental and emotional garden so we release what's no longer serving us, and create space for renewal so we can continue to grow. This practices aims to restore balance within and without.
The equinox is a sacred astrological and seasonal event that happens only twice a year, where day and night are nearly equal in length. A the days become shorter as the sun continues to rise later each morning and darkness falls earlier each night, we too are invited to surrender, as the world spins slowly into the dark void of infinite space. Embrace the healing darkness, as you sink and soften into the arms of the goddess yoga nidra. This is an effortless guided meditative practice where you are simply invited to rest deeply, listen, and surrender to the experience of wakeful sleep, where the body embraces the dark slumber of the stillness rest, and yet the light of your awareness remains ever present.
